AFTER WINNING ELECTIONS, SAKSHI MAHARAJ THANKS UNNAO RAPE ACCUSED SENGAR IN JAIL

It is 6th June 2019, yesterday was Eid, yes you know and Sakshi Maharaj wanted to meet and greet Muslims, so he headed the only place where he could find them, the jail in Unnao, but then controversy followed as he made a pit stop to thank rape accused Kuldeep Singh Sengar after Sakshi’s victory in General elections. He is after all the MP from Unnao. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Sakshi Maharaj said, “Our ‘yashasvi’ (renowned) and popular MLA Kuldeep Sengarji is lodged here for quite some time. I thought it appropriate to thank him after the elections.” The Jail Superintendent, one Mishra, told reporters, “Today is Eid and World Environment Day. He sat for some time and discussed what is being done in jail. He was told about various horticulture works undertaken in the jail,” he said.

Amongst other things, Sakshi had said that if people don’t vote for him, he will curse everyone, and people, always scared of curses by saints, complied.

PM MODI LEADS TWO CABINET COMMITTEES TO TACKLE ECONOMY AND JOBS

A five-member Cabinet Committee on Investment and Growth has been formed under the Prime Minister’s leadership and includes cabinet heavyweights like Home Minister Amit Shah, Minister of Road Transport & Highway and Minister for MSME Nitin Gadkari, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Railway and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal.

Another 10-member Cabinet Committee helmed by him will look at employment and skill development. It comprises Shah, Sitharaman, Goyal, Agriculture, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj minister Narendra Singh Tomar, HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Petroleum and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Skill and Entrepreneurship Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey and Ministers of State Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Hardeep Singh Puri.

Somewhere I think, these committees would not be required had it not been Demonetization and GST that compelled its formation, just like today Tamilians won’t be asking for Autonomy, had it not been for the Hindi language push from the Hindi speaking bimaru states, also the birthing ground of BJP.

HINDI IMPOSITION FIRES UP: AUTONOMY SAYS RAHMAN, TAMIL NADU CM DELETES TWEET, AND STALIN WANTS TAMIL TO BE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE IN CENTRAL GOVERNMENT OFFICES

Autonomy, was the single word that went out of A R Rahman’s twitter handle, with a link to the dictionary, if any one was confused about its meaning. But, that one word, created more confusion than the dust encircling North India.

The cryptic tweet comes just days after intense debate and protests that followed post the initial announcement of the draft National Education Police 2018, which sought to make Hindi a compulsory third language in all states of India. The draft did not sit well with Southern India, especially Tamil Nadu, which has a history of opposing northern political and cultural imposition on its customs and traditions.

The Centre may have dropped the contentious provision of compulsory teaching of Hindi in non-Hindi speaking states but the controversy refuses to die down in Tamil Nadu.

In a tweet, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami Wednesday requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to include Tamil as an optional language of study in other states. The post was later deleted as the Opposition questioned the meaning of his tweet. Senior DMK leaders also started asking him on Twitter whether he had agreed to Centre’s three-language policy or not.

Mr Stalin, who is also leader of the opposition in the state assembly, claimed the Centre was trying to impose Hindi under the three-language formula and it withdrew its decision following opposition from Tamils.

Yesterday, the DMK proposed that the two-language formula devised by Dravidian icon C N Annadurai should be implemented across the country and demanded that Tamil be made an official language in central government offices.

HUAWEI SIGNS RUSSIA DEAL FOR 5G ON SIDELINES OF MOSCOW MEETING AS XI CALLS PUTIN ‘A BEST FRIEND’

Huawei, Xi and Putin. If there were any doubts about the global manipulation via the use of technology then, let this be an indicator.

China’s Huawei, considered a security threat in the US, on Wednesday signed a deal with Russian telecom company MTS to develop a 5G network in the country over the next year, The agreement was signed on the sidelines of a meeting between Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. The leaders praised their countries’ ties during talks at the Kremlin, as Russia and China seek to shore up cooperation amid shared tensions with the US. “President Putin is for me a best friend,” Xi told journalists in a joint statement following the meeting.

The Chinese telecom giant has been in turmoil since May, when the Trump administration banned US firms from selling high-tech equipment to Huawei over suspicions it is spying for Beijing.

PUPPET LAWMAKERS ELECT MILITARY CHIEF PRAYUT CHAN-O-CHA AS PRIME MINISTER OF THAILAND

Thailand’s junta chief Prayut Chan-O-Cha was elected late Wednesday as the kingdom’s first civilian prime minister since the 2014 coup he led, in a vote by a parliament stacked with appointed allies of the conservative, arch-royalist army.

The Senate, which was appointed by the junta, includes scores of military officers and loyalists – many identifiable as they read out Prayut’s name by their short serviceman’s haircuts.

His election completes a journey for the 65-year-old Prayut from gruff army chief who toppled the last civilian government to the prime minister, with claims to legitimacy after an unexpectedly strong showing from his army-linked party in a March general election. Yet, Thailand remains bitterly divided after 13 years defined by coups, violent street protests and short-lived civilian governments.

PHILIPPINES PRESIDENT SAYS HE USED TO BE GAY BUT WAS CURED BY EX-WIFE

And in other news, most bizarre thing I head today, and the only thing that this can be outdone is by watching Shakti Kapoor as Chutia in tehcult B grade classic Gunda, who cures himself of homosexuality, wait a second, by raping a woman.

Now, The President of the Philippines has caused new offence by saying that he used to be gay but was “cured by beautiful women”. Rodrigo Duterte was addressing the Filipino community in Tokyo during a visit to Japan when he began talking about Antonio Trillanes, a political enemy. “Ask any gay man and see that [Trillanes] moving: they say that’s gay,” Duterte said. “Trillanes and I are similar but I got myself treatedHe said that the “treatment” came in the form of his former wife.

In Tokyo, he repeated a staple of his public appearances by inviting five women on stage to be kissed by him on the lips.

JAPANESE MINISTER SAYS ‘NECESSARY’ TO WEAR HIGH HEELS AT WORK

And while we are on Japan, A Japanese minister has said it is “necessary” for companies to enforce dress codes that require women to wear high heels at work.

Mr Nemoto was asked to comment on a campaign spearheaded by actor and writer Yumi Ishikawa, who is calling for discriminatory workplace dress codes to be scrapped. Only if the Minster had to wear the heels himself, he wouldn’t be a ) Mansplanning, and b) saying it is ‘necessary’.

That is all I have for you for today. I will be back with more from India and the world tomorrow. Until then, good bye from takeapart.in
