IT IS MY NATURE TO SETTLE EVERY SCORE: PM URGES OPPOSITION TO QUESTION HIS POLICIES BUT NOT ARMED FORCES

It is 5th March 2019, it could well be 2014 or I might be getting a feeling of Déjà vu. Reaffirming that this is New India

Humara siddhant hai, hum ghar me ghus ke marenge (It is our principle to take the attack home),” “Chun chun ke hisaab lena meri fitrat hai (It is my nature nature to settle every score),” said Modi in Gujarat , his home state where he hit at the opposition and questioned their nationalism. He said, you may question me on my policies. You may not trust me but trust the armed forces. Don’t raise questions about their valour.

Dear PM, don’t think any one is doubting the armed forces here, but questioning you and other policians does not make a person against the nation. If we jog our memory, you had said pretty uch the same thing in 2014. and then we all know about how he made a mid way stop to attend Nawaz Sharif function with a hug. We also believed you , actually sorry, I never did, that terrorist activities will die out because of demonetization, this time around when you have no vikas to show, now you are piling up andh vishwas,

Speaking of trusting the armed forces, giving munitions to opposition,

AIR FORCE DOESN’T COUNT CASUALTIES, BUT AMIT SHAH DOES

In first public remarks on the 26 February air strike by the IAF on a Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camp in Balakot in Pakistan, Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa Monday said the “Air Force is not in a position to clarify how many people were inside (the target). We don’t count human casualties. We count what targets have been hit, or not hit”.

Not only the opposition , even you dear listener must wonder that who is the one counting bodies? Don’t go too far, it is Amit Shah, BJP President counting dead bodies , a duty he will do well no doubt. I don’t even want to doubt it, lest he brings forth the proof in form of dead bodies from this or that side of the border, who knows? But for a moment please stop and ask yourself,

How does the BJP Pres know about terrorist casualties across the border? He is not a member of the Cabinet Committee on Security, he is not the Defence Minister. Is he being briefed by intelligence agencies? If so, in what capacity?Time for the GOI to come on record on casualties.

As someone had said before me, I will repeat today and someone will say it after me, the only casualty in politics and war is the truth and we are going through politics of war, so you can imagine the deep wounds on Truth, whatever that is.

TRIBAL AND DALIT BODIES CALL FOR ALL INDIA BANDH TODAY

Meanwhile, in case you didn’t know, Tribal and Dalit rights organisations have called for an all-India bandh on Tuesday against the Supreme Court order on their eviction from their habitat. Though the court had put a stay on its order after the petition by the Centre, the tribal groups are of the opinion that it is a temporary relief in the absence of a law and are demanding that the Centre bring in an ordinance to ensure their rights are protected.

In Delhi, the protesters are set to march from Mandi House to Parliament Street. Tribals in Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and other states in the Northeast are set to join Tuesday’s bandh.

DONALD TRUMP SAYS HE WANTS TO END INDIA’S PREFERENTIAL TRADE TREATMENT

And before we are fully in International Territory the big news from External affairs point of view is that the US President Donald Trump intends to end India’s preferential trade treatment under a program that allows $5.6 billion worth of Indian exports to enter the United States duty free.

“I am providing notice of my intent to terminate the designation of India as a beneficiary developing country under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program,” Trump said in a letter to congressional leaders. India is the world’s largest beneficiary of the GSP program and ending its participation would be the strongest punitive action against India since Trump took office in 2017.

TRUDEAU CRISIS GROWS AS SECOND MINISTER RESIGNS

And from US we head to neighboring Canada where

In a serious blow to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, a second member of his Cabinet , Jane Philpott resigned on Monday, saying she had lost confidence in how the government had dealt with an escalating political scandal.

Philpott expressed unhappiness about the government’s response to allegations that officials inappropriately pressured former justice minister Jody Wilson-Raybould last year to help major construction company SNC-Lavalin Group Inc avoid a corruption trial.

LONDON PATIENT BECOMES SECOND MAN TO BE CLEARED OF AIDS VIRUS

Meanwhile, A man in Britain has become the second known adult worldwide to be cleared of the virus after he received a bone marrow transplant from an HIV-resistant donor, his doctors said.

Almost three years after receiving bone marrow stem cells from a donor with a rare genetic mutation that resists HIV infection – and more than 18 months after he came off antiretroviral drugs – highly sensitive tests still show no trace of the man’s previous HIV infection.

GUARDIAN EXCLUSIVE: BANKING LEAK EXPOSES RUSSIAN NETWORK WITH LINK TO PRINCE CHARLES

And before we had to the last news item, you don’t want to miss this. According to an exclusive by The Guardian, A charity run by Prince Charles received donations from an offshore company that was used to funnel vast amounts of cash from Russia in a scheme that is under investigation by prosecutors.

Money flowing through the network included cash that can be linked to some of the most notorious frauds committed during Vladimir Putin’s presidency.

There is no suggestion that end recipients of funds were aware of the original source of the money, which arrived via a disguised route.

MALAYSIAN FUND CEO THOUGHT TO HAVE DIED OF PHONE BATTERY BLAST COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED BY WIFE AND STEPSONS

Talking about disguised routes, remember not so long ago , in June 2018 there was story about the CEO of Cradle fund, A Malaysian Finance Ministry Company and how he had died and it was thought that he died of smoke inhalation and shrapnel wounds after his mobile phones were believed to have exploded near his head while he was asleep, as concluded in the first post-mortem examination , well turns out NOT. The wife and two teenage stepsons of Nazrin Hassan, the chief executive officer of a prominent Malaysian government-linked startup fund were charged with his murder on Monday.
