UP POLICE ARREST 11 & 12-YEAR-OLD MUSLIM BOYS FOR COW SLAUGHTER, DGP SEES CONSPIRACY TO FLARE COMMUNAL RIOTS & BAJRANG DAL TERRORIST IS STILL ON THE RUN
And from scam artists and conman we head to conspiracy and cops and the creativity of UP Police which will make Comedy with Kapil look pale in comparison. Bulandshahr police were in for some embarrassment on Wednesday when it came to light that of the seven people it had booked for the alleged cow slaughter that triggered violence two days ago, two were pre-teens. When this was revealed, police, who were rounding up people, let go of the two minors and arrested a 23-year-old namesake of one of them. The two minors were just 11 and 12 years old.
While there was no development in the probe on the killing of police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and the subsequent violence, four people were arrested in cow slaughter case on Wednesday. Two of them had not been named in the FIR filed on Monday. And one was the namesake of the minor named in the FIR. The FIR for cow slaughter was filed by Bajrang Dal leader Yogesh Raj, who is a prime accused in the violence on Monday that claimed the life of inspector Singh and a youth. Raj, along with several other Bajrang Dal leaders, was booked by police but he is yet to be arrested.
Sarfuddin’s family claims he was at Tabligi Ijtema 45 km away at the time of violence on Monday. Similarly, other four accused name in the FIR were either away from the village at the time of violence or had already settled somewhere else. Besides, they don’t belong to the village where alleged cow slaughter took place. Among other persons named in the case, no one named Sudaif even existed in the village. Similarly, Ilyas and his namesake also left it more than a decade ago.
Cops also said footages were being collected to identify the man who fired the shot at the police inspector.
Meanwhile, DGP OP Singh claimed the flare-up was a big conspiracy to escalate communal tension. In Lucknow, IG, crime, SP Bhagat said that the carcass was at least two days old. “The final conclusion will be based on a forensic lab report,” said Bhagat.
Preliminary investigation by police officials and first-hand accounts of eyewitnesses of the Bulandshahr tragedy point towards a pre-planned attempt at spreading communal tension.
Yogesh Raj, the main accused in the Bulandshahr violence who is on the run, has posted a new video on social media on Wednesday claiming innocence. However, his posts before the violence include claims that he had assaulted people accused or suspected of cattle smuggling and slaughter.
THERE ONCE WERE TWO CATS OF KILKENNY
Next Yogesh Raj will say that all the while he was trying to protect the cops, just like what the Centre told the Supreme Court yesterday that benched CBI director Alok Verma and his deputy Rakesh Asthana were fighting like the mythical Kilkenny cats and that the media was having a “field day” giving wide coverage to it.
The government said this had prompted it to divest the two officers of their powers, otherwise “only God knows” what would have happened. The two Kilkenny cats had Verma, Asthana died during a ferocious fight with each other and kept devouring each other till only their tails were left.
There once were two cats of Kilkenny, Each thought there was one cat too many; So they fought and they fit, And they scratched And they bit, Till excepting their nails And the tips of their tails Instead of two cats There weren’t any.
